I want to lay this out plainly because pricing is one of those things that gets vague fast in this industry, and vagueness benefits nobody.
We charge $199 per month for a wellness business website. No big upfront cost. No contract beyond month-to-month. Cancel anytime. Here's what that includes and, just as importantly, what the traditional model usually leaves out.
What $199/Month Covers
The website itself. A custom-built, mobile-first site designed specifically for your practice. Not a template with your name swapped in. We design it around your services, your location, and your brand. Typically five to seven pages: home, about, services, contact, and whatever else makes sense for your practice.
Hosting. Your site is hosted on fast, reliable infrastructure. Not shared hosting where your site competes with 500 other sites on the same server. This matters for speed, which matters for both user experience and search ranking.
SSL certificate. The thing that puts the padlock icon next to your URL and makes your site load over HTTPS. Required for Google ranking, required for client trust, and surprisingly often missing or expired on older sites.
Domain management. If you already have a domain, we'll help you connect it. If you need one, we'll help you get it. Either way, we make sure it's set up correctly with proper DNS, email routing, and all the backend plumbing that you shouldn't have to think about.
SEO setup. Schema markup, meta tags, proper heading structure, sitemap, Google Search Console submission. The foundational SEO work that makes your site findable. Plus the local SEO basics: making sure your site is optimized for your city and service area.
Google Business Profile setup. We'll either set up your GBP from scratch or optimize your existing one. Categories, description, photos, service listings. The whole thing.
Booking integration. Whatever scheduling platform you use, whether that's Jane App, Acuity, Calendly, Square, or something else, we'll integrate it into your site with prominent booking buttons on every page.
Ongoing maintenance. Software updates, security monitoring, uptime monitoring, performance checks. The stuff that keeps a site healthy over time. If something breaks, we fix it. If something needs updating, we update it.
Content updates. Need to change your hours? Add a new service? Update your bio? Swap out a photo? Just tell us. We handle it, typically within a day or two. You don't need to learn a content management system or figure out how to edit HTML.
Monthly performance reporting. A simple overview of how your site is doing. How much traffic, where it's coming from, what pages people visit. Nothing overwhelming, just enough to know things are working.
What a $5,000 Site Usually Gets You
A designed and built website. That's typically it.
I'm not trying to be dismissive. The design and build work is real work, and $5,000 is a reasonable price for a quality custom website. The issue isn't the price or the quality of the deliverable. The issue is what happens after.
Most $5,000 website projects end with a handoff. Here's your website, here are your login credentials, good luck. Now you're responsible for hosting, SSL renewal, security updates, plugin updates, content changes, SEO, analytics, and everything else that keeps a website functioning and effective.
If you're technical and enjoy that stuff, fine. Most wellness professionals aren't and don't. So the site gradually deteriorates. The SSL certificate expires and nobody notices until a client mentions the browser warning. A WordPress plugin goes unupdated for two years and becomes a security hole. The content gets stale because making changes requires logging into a CMS you don't fully understand.
Two years after launch, you have a pretty site that's slow, insecure, slightly outdated, and not ranking for anything.
The Math, Honestly
Over two years, our $199/month plan costs $4,776. A $5,000 upfront site costs $5,000 at launch, plus hosting (figure $200 to $600 per year), plus SSL (sometimes included with hosting, sometimes $50 to $100 per year), plus any maintenance or updates you need to pay someone for. Realistically, the two-year total cost is similar.
The difference is what you get for that money. With the upfront model, you get a finished product on day one and then ongoing costs and responsibilities. With the subscription model, you get a finished product within a couple of weeks and then ongoing service, maintenance, and support for as long as you're a subscriber.
After three or four years, the subscription model costs more in total dollars. That's true. But it also includes three or four years of hosting, maintenance, updates, and support that you'd otherwise be paying for separately or, more likely, not paying for at all and watching your site decay.
What This Isn't
This isn't a page builder where you do the work yourself. We're not handing you a Squarespace login and wishing you well. We design and build the site.
This isn't a locked-in contract. You can cancel any time. If you leave, we'll help you transition. We're not holding your website hostage.
This isn't a basic template. Every site we build is designed for the specific practice. Your services, your photos, your brand colors, your booking platform, your location. It's custom work.
And this isn't a luxury product. $199 per month is roughly what a wellness professional earns from two client sessions. If the website generates even two additional bookings per month, which is a conservative expectation for a site that's actually visible in local search, it's paying for itself.
Who This Is For
Solo practitioners and small wellness businesses. Massage therapists, personal trainers, yoga instructors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, nutritionists, health coaches. People who are great at their craft and want a website that brings in clients without becoming a second job.
If you have a 15-person wellness company with complex needs, custom app integrations, and e-commerce requirements, we're probably not the right fit. But if you need a clean, fast, findable website that books appointments and stays maintained, this is specifically built for that.
Next Step
If you're curious what the process looks like, the build week post walks through exactly what happens from intake form to launch. Or you can just fill out the intake form and we'll take it from there. Five-minute form, then we build. Usually live within two weeks.
