Build Week: What Happens After You Fill Out the Intake Form

Our website build process from start to finish. Five-minute intake form, we design and build, you review, and you're usually live within two weeks.

One of the biggest reasons people put off getting a website built is that the process feels like it's going to be long, complicated, and full of homework. I get it. You've heard horror stories about six-month timelines, endless rounds of revisions, and designers asking you to write 3,000 words of copy by next Tuesday.

That's not how we do it.

The Intake Form: About 5 Minutes

It starts with a form. Not a 30-question deep-dive into your brand strategy. Just the basics we need to build your site.

What do you do? What services do you offer? Where are you located? What's your booking platform? Do you have photos you'd like us to use? Any color preferences or existing branding? Anything specific you want on the site?

Five minutes, maybe ten if you're being thorough. You can fill it out on your phone between clients.

The point of keeping this short is that we've done this enough to know what we need. We don't need you to write your own copy, define your "brand pillars," or create a mood board on Pinterest. That's our job. We're going to look at your intake form, look at your existing online presence, and build something that fits.

What Happens Next (On Our End)

Once we have your intake form, here's what we do over the next several days.

We write the copy. Based on what you told us, your existing website if you have one, your social media, your Google reviews, and our experience writing for wellness professionals. We write clear, human-sounding text that explains what you do, where you do it, and how to book. If you've got a particular way you describe your approach that resonates with clients, we'll work that in.

We design the layout. Mobile-first, because that's how most of your clients will see it. Clean navigation, prominent booking buttons, fast-loading structure. We're not reinventing anything here. The layout is built on what works for local wellness businesses, and what works is clarity and speed over cleverness.

We set up the technical foundation. Hosting, SSL, domain connection, schema markup, meta tags, sitemap, analytics. The backend stuff that makes your site fast, secure, and findable. You don't need to understand any of this. We handle it.

We integrate your booking platform. Whatever you use, we'll embed it or link it so there's a booking button on every page, including a sticky one on mobile. If you don't have a booking platform yet, we'll recommend one based on your practice type and help you set it up.

We set up or optimize your Google Business Profile. Categories, description, photos, service listings, review link. Either from scratch or improving what you already have.

All of this typically happens within five to seven business days.

Your Review

Once we've got a draft ready, we send you a preview link. You can view the site on your phone and your computer. Look at the copy, check that your services are listed correctly, make sure the photos are right.

Most people at this stage have a handful of small changes. "Can you swap this photo?" "I actually stopped offering that service." "My hours changed." That kind of thing. We make those adjustments quickly, usually same day.

Occasionally someone wants more significant changes, a different color direction, a rearranged layout, additional pages. That's fine too. We don't charge extra for revisions during the build process. We'd rather get it right than rush it live.

What we don't typically see is someone needing to start over. Because the intake form and our experience building for this niche give us enough to get close on the first pass. That's the advantage of specializing.

Launch Day

Once you've approved the site, we push it live. This usually means pointing your domain to the new hosting, which takes a few hours to propagate across the internet. We handle all of that.

We also submit your site to Google Search Console so Google starts indexing it right away. Without this step, it can take weeks for Google to discover a new site. With it, they usually start crawling within a day or two.

We verify that everything is working. Booking buttons, contact forms, mobile layout, page speed, SSL, analytics tracking. We run through a checklist so nothing falls through the cracks.

Then we send you an email confirming everything is live, along with your first month's performance baseline so we have something to compare against going forward.

The Whole Timeline

Intake form to live site is typically under two weeks. Sometimes faster if your intake form is straightforward and you review the draft quickly. Sometimes a bit longer if there are domain transfer complications or if you need extra time to review.

Compare this to the traditional web design process, which often involves a discovery call, a proposal, a contract, a deposit, a questionnaire, a mood board review, wireframes, a design mockup, revisions to the mockup, development, testing, more revisions, and finally launch. That process can easily stretch to two or three months. Which is part of why it costs $5,000.

We're able to work faster because we've narrowed our focus. We build websites for wellness professionals. We know what these sites need. We're not figuring it out fresh each time.

After Launch

The site going live isn't the end of the relationship. It's the beginning of the subscription.

Every month, your site is hosted, monitored, maintained, and updated. When you need to change something, you tell us and we do it. When Google changes something that affects your ranking, we adjust. When your booking platform updates their embed code, we update your site.

You focus on your clients. We keep your website working.

The Thing That Usually Surprises People

Most of our clients tell us afterward that the hardest part was deciding to start. The intake form felt like it would be a bigger commitment than it was. The process felt like it would be more involved than it was. They expected more homework.

The five-minute form is genuinely five minutes. The review process is genuinely low-friction. And the result is a site that shows up in search, books appointments, and doesn't require you to learn web development.

If you've been putting this off, the intake form is the only step that requires anything from you. The rest is on us.
